“Ms. Newman is a kind and compassionate listener. She is very welcoming and I just feel like I can tell her anything without feeling judged. Whenever I meet with her, no matter how I felt coming into the conversation, I left feeling calmer and with a more reasonable outlook on my situation. She also helped me celebrate the "wins" in my life, big and small. ”

Getting to know Ashley Newman

Let’s be honest, life can be challenging at times! Let me assist you in navigating it. I congratulate you on making the choice to speak to a therapist and share the most important and private thoughts you have with me. Knowing when to reach out and ask for help is a HUGE step in your journey to healing. As a therapist, I understand that therapy is not a "one size fits all" service, and I strive to walk alongside my clients as they seek emotional well-being. I'm currently accepting clients virtually. I meet clients where they are, and work through an empowerment lens. I understand the importance that connection plays in healing and growing for all of us. I also understand healing is a personal journey and what works for one, may not work for another. I work from a strengths-based approach to help clients reach their goals. I specialize in working with women, who need support with anxiety, depression, stress/time management issues, self-esteem, and a variety of others. The provider is a “Licensed Professional Counselor" and their license number is 37PC01059100

What should a new client know about working with you?

I embrace an open and welcoming approach to therapy. ALL emotions and feelings are welcome in this space.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The goal of the first session is to establish foundation. Therapy, like any other relationship, requires an established level of comfort, trust, and vulnerability. In the first session, we will have a conversation, where you are able to ask any questions you may have. Once we have established the connection, we will then work to figure out the initial direction and goal of our therapy sessions. While these preliminary goals can shift with time, it is still important to have an initial blueprint to ensure that we have some direction. The first session can be intimidating for those entering therapy for the first time. I am here to ensure you are comfortable about moving forward.

Ashley is AMAZINGGGGGG!!! I absolutely love her and felt so connected to her immediately. She is so warm, grounded and really understands the situations you tell her so that you can move forward. I was in a really low point in my life where it felt lie everything just fell apart and was experiencing a more depressive state as a result. Ashley helped ground me back into reality and helped me see things for what they truly were. She is so supportive and truly understands me and I couldn’t have gotten to this point in my life without her. They say therapy is like dating, you don’t always find the right fit on the first try. She’s my third therapist, and from the moment I met her, I just knew we would click. She has this incredible ability to make you feel truly heard, not just listened to. Every session feels like a safe space where I can be fully myself without judgment. She understands how to sit with you in the hard stuff, while also gently guiding you forward. Her empathy is real, her insight is powerful, and her presence is steady. I honestly can’t imagine navigating life without her now.
Ashley is such a sweet heart. She really takes the time to listen to you. She provides such a safe space for you to be vulnerable. HIGHLY recommend her. I enjoy my sessions with her.
Working with Ashley has truly been one of the most transformative experiences of my life. From the very first session, she created a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where I felt heard, seen, and supported. Her genuine empathy and insight have helped me uncover parts of myself I had long neglected, and together, we’ve worked through emotional roadblocks I never thought I could overcome. Through her thoughtful guidance and encouragement, I’ve learned to embrace my worth, recognize my strengths, and speak to myself with kindness. She has a gift for asking just the right questions, gently challenging me to grow while always making me feel empowered and in control of my own healing. Thanks to her support, I’ve made meaningful progress in my personal and professional life. Ashley didn’t just help me “get better” she is helping me become me. I am grateful for her presence in my life and would recommend her to anyone who’s ready to grow, heal, and truly come home to themselves.
I had my first session with Ashley yesterday and it was a great experience. She was very engaging, easy to talk to, and made me feel comfortable right away. I appreciate her attentiveness and the way she asked thoughtful and personable questions. We even laughed a few times. The conversation was very easy. I am looking forward to continuing this journey with her. Very grateful.
I love Ashley ! I don’t miss any appointments, she humbles me Everytime I think I’m bigger than the program and know it all she reminds me in the sweetest way “to be for real” ????this just make me love her even more.
Ashely has been a saint! I truly appreciate her not only for the service she provides but the type of person she is! Her personality and attentiveness has this truly an ideal career path for her. I don’t know where I’d be today in my healing journey if I didn’t find this woman! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a therapist for the first time and any else looking in general! So thankful and grateful for the Service Ashley has provided me. 100/10
Ashley feels like a friend, she is incredibly personable without ever making you feel like she’s crossing any boundary. Ashley is knowledgeable and as helped me process suppressed trauma while always offering me space and the choice to unpack or to stop if I’m not ready. Nothing about Ashley’s care feels clinical, just natural, like talking to a friend who will never judge you.
Ashley was a breath of fresh air during a very chaotic day. As a safe haven for many, it was very nice to find a space where l was reassured of confidentiality and able to show up as my authentic self. Ashley was professional and empathetic and helped me to realize truths about my experiences that l hadn't seen within our first visit. I am blessed to have connected with such a compassionate and genuine counselor. I'd recommend her to anyone without hesitation!
