Hello, I'm Ashley, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a passion for helping individuals navigate life's challenges. I am a Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT) and also trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). My journey in mental health began with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Emory & Henry College, where I graduated with honors, complemented by studies in Biology and Chemistry. I furthered my education at Augusta State University, now known as Georgia Regents University, earning a Master of Science with honors in Clinical Psychology/Counseling. Since 2008, I've had the privilege of working in various roles within the mental health field, including Therapeutic Mentor, Therapeutic Day Treatment Counselor, Residential Counselor, Crisis Counselor, Program Manager, and Outpatient Counselor. My experience spans providing services to youth, young adults, families, and adults at different life stages. I focus on utilizing evidence-based approaches in my therapy practices, emphasizing the importance of building a strong therapeutic alliance and rapport with my clients. I specialize in supporting individuals dealing with anxiety, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, children's and adolescent mental and behavioral health, depression, family relationships, grief and bereavement, life transitions, perinatal support (pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum), phobias, PTSD, spirituality, stress, and trauma. Additionally, I offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer or require remote sessions. Since 2017, I've been approved by the board to provide Clinical Supervision to Residents in Counseling, which has been a rewarding aspect of my career. Outside of my professional life, I find joy and self-care in spending time with my five kids and husband.
