OH
Hello, I'm Ashley, and I am so happy that you are here! I have been involved in the mental health field since 2016. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Morehead State University, I went on to earn a Master of Education in Human Development & Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. I am licensed in the state of Kentucky and Ohio as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. Additionally, I am a Life Coach and a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. My primary goal is to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment so you feel safe to explore personal issues that may be preventing you from living your best life. Each of us is unique, so what may work for others may not work for you. I am trained in a variety of counseling interventions to help clients depending on individual needs. I take time to understand your perspective and discuss your goals because it truly is a pleasure to witness the progress and success of each client. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can be the most difficult, and I am proud of you for getting started! I specialize in helping individuals with ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief and bereavement, life transitions, PTSD, spirituality, stress, and trauma. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer or require remote sessions. My clients have reported various reasons for coming back for follow-up visits such as: "Because you are a great listener, you are very personable, you make me (personally) feel like I matter, and that you genuinely care." "I always feel respected and given the space I need to work through my issues at my level. You allow for organic exploration with really important, perspective-shifting questions. You provide support to explore interests and are willing to listen to anything without judgment. You also offer positive affirmations and encouragement when I succeed in learning more about myself." "You challenge my thoughts in the best way. You are an honest mirror for me because my view of myself is distorted, more negative than maybe what reality is. You have created a safe space for me to be vulnerable. Vulnerable not just with you but with myself as well. You provide an unbiased perspective which makes me think about things from a different point of view. You are honest. Your constructive criticism is always presented as gently as possible. You are relatable and show your human side often. You don’t make me feel like I am in therapy. I feel like I’m talking to a friend who knows me from the inside out." "I am comfortable talking to you and working through whatever is going on in my head. You don’t make me feel uneasy. You listen to me and help guide me in a way that I could not do on my own." If you're ready to take the next step in your journey, I'm here to support you. Let's work together to help you live your best life.
