Hi there, I'm Ashley! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Aurora University, specializing in Gerontology and Healthcare. My approach to working with individuals is rooted in connection, curiosity, and collaboration. I work with individuals of all ages, treating a variety of conditions including depression, anxiety, and those adapting to life changes. My approach I like to incorporate a variety of therapeutic approaches, including mindfulness-based interventions and solution-focused techniques tailored to each client's individual treatment goals. I've also been trained in EMDR and integrate this into the therapeutic process to aid with symptom reduction. My focus I often work with clients who have experienced trauma, life stressors, and adjustment to life-changing events, as well as anxiety, depression, and several other mental health challenges and disorders. My communication style I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important factor in creating change, and I pride myself on establishing a safe, nonjudgmental space to help strengthen that relationship. My journey to mental healthcare I believe everyone strives for and has the capacity to fulfill their own potential, and I am driven to help clients on their journey of self-discovery. My first session with you During the first session, I will take time to get to know the client’s presenting concerns and psychosocial history, and work collaboratively to help identify their goals for engaging in treatment.
