What should a new client know about working with you?

When you begin therapy, you can expect a relaxed and inviting space that is structured to your individual needs. For anxiety and depression, we may use empirical therapies as well as tools to organize your thoughts and triggers and empower you to gain control of your symptoms. Most clients see gradual improvement shortly after.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first meeting we will discuss what you are looking to gain from therapy as well as discuss expectations for our therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a safe and trusting environment so that you are able to get the most out of your experience with me. I will also conduct an intake to get to know you and a bit about your background. Sessions after the initial meeting will include discussing topics that you have identified as important and working together to find ways to navigate and manage them. I have a relaxed demeanor and use a person centered approach. This facilitates a strong rapport and creates a conducive space to share freely and safely.

More information on payments and coverage

I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO plans for the state of Illinois. I process payments through the EHR Hippa compliant software that I use to store records and insurance. I am very willing to work with people on payment schedules, deductibles and understanding what they are responsible for in terms of insurance payments. I store a card on file to collect co pays, deductible payments and self payments. I also offer superbills that can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement if you have an HSA plan or are out of network. I can also accept HSA cards to keep on file for copayments.
