Ashley Strawther, LICSW

Psychotherapist
WA
Hi there, I'm Ashley! I know what it’s like to wear a lot of hats and try to keep all the plates spinning. Being strong doesn’t mean you have to carry everything alone. Sometimes we all need a place to breathe, feel heard, and sort through the things life throws our way while we make the first or next step. If life feels a little heavy right now, I’m here to help. My focus I especially enjoy working with adults, parents, caregivers, and families who are navigating stressful seasons, big life changes or feeling stuck where they are. Maybe you’re balancing work and family, adjusting to a new chapter, feeling overwhelmed, or simply trying to find your way back to yourself. Let's slow things down so you can move forward. My approach My approach is warm, honest, relaxed and open. I believe therapy should feel like a safe place where you can be yourself, talk things through without judgment, and work toward real, practical change. I use a strengths-based and solution-focused approach, helping you recognize what is working and where you want to make change. My communication style We will have real talk. I want you to feel free to be honest and open. No judgement in this space. I’ll listen, ask questions, and give you space to process while also being honest and direct when needed. I’ll also be honest when you need a little encouragement or a different perspective, with a little humor along the way. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist wasn't a straight line. Being a single mom, business owner, and adoptive parent has taught me firsthand that life can be messy, overwhelming, and unpredictable—all at the same time. I have realized that sometimes the best thing we can do is stop and take time for ourselves. It is what called me to therapy.
