Ashley Tanzy, LPC

Ashley Tanzy, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
I have over 15 years of experience working with children and families. I specialize in trauma, depression, and PTSD. Often, current situations are symptoms of underlying past trauma that permeate our daily lives. Together, we will work to uncover and confront these issues. In this approach, developing a preferred solution is more important than solely clarifying and directly addressing the problem. I hold a Master's in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University, which has equipped me with the skills to support my clients effectively.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I adhere to a Solution-Focused approach, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and Reality Therapy to counseling. This means that rather than focusing solely on the individual’s presenting concern. I explore client strengths and counter-productive cycles of thought and behavior to help the client gain insight into their situation and solutions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

We will work together goals that we develop together, concentrating on identifying and changing old patterns and improving communication.
