If you're exploring the possibility of counseling, you most likely have reached your limit on what you're able to handle. You may feel lost and hopeless. You may feel judged by others or be very critical of yourself. You may feel frozen and unable to move forward. When we're confronted with difficulties, we're usually able to persevere and succeed. But sometimes, we can't. Feeling like we aren't able to “deal with it” and “move on” can be a painful experience, and the hardest thing to do is reach out for help. I listen to your unique situation, hear your concerns, and we journey together to your best self. I can help if you're struggling with anxiety, negative thoughts, self-esteem, depression, workplace difficulties, relationship issues, grief and loss, general life stress, life transitions, and LGBTQ concerns. I also help new and seasoned parents cope with the ups and downs of parenthood to be the confident, strong leader you want to be. My goal is to help you overcome challenges with greater ease and confidence so that you can get the most out of life. From the comfort of your own home, I use evidence-based treatment to provide the best care to fit your individual needs. No traffic, no parking issues, no rushing. I utilize cognitive behavioral techniques to reduce distressing symptoms and work with you to make certain that therapy is progressing at a rate you are comfortable with. I graduated from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 2010 with a BA in Psychology, pursued a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Adelphi University, and earned a PhD in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University. Over the past ten years, I have focused on reducing anxiety and distressing thoughts in hundreds of people, with proven results and often quick relief, allowing time to then build better skills and break patterns that negatively impact our lives.
