Getting to know Ashley Winkler

*This provider does not accept any Medicaid or Medicare plans* Feeling more grounded, connected to your body, and empathetic toward yourself is possible. Through therapy, you can find the way forward to a life of health and happiness. I guide people feeling out of balance toward a sense of calm and clarity. My clients might be exploring their relationship with substances, seeking more work-life balance, or looking for a more embodied way to manage stress and anxiety than traditional talk therapy can offer. As a clinician and yoga teacher, part of my approach involves integrating mindfulness, the mind-body connection, and movement into talk therapy. By bringing awareness to how your body experiences emotions, we can address stress, overwhelm, and anxiety you’re carrying and create space for more joy, compassion, and ease. My hope is for you to find the strength to be kind to yourself, set boundaries, and live whatever life you want. You are not broken, and there is nothing wrong with you. You are worthy and capable just as you are. Throughout our time together, we’ll focus on making you feel more connected, embodied, and in control so you can find your inner harmony.

What should a new client know about working with you?

They want to feel better, whatever that looks like for them. They want to make change, don't know how to start, they want someone who will listen to them, not judge them, or take over the convo. They want to feel better about themselves and their relationships, they want to feel fulfilled/confident/empowered.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

It's a commitment, I'm asking you to make a commitment to your present and future self. You are the focus, your goals for yourself are what counts here. We can develop them together. I am able to really hear where you're coming from, feel the emotions, empathize, and be with you in those difficult moments during session. I will help you overcome your struggles by helping you increase your awareness, understanding of the struggles. I will help you imagine, write out, visualize where you want to go, steps to get there, support along the way. I will facilitate and co create this process with you.
