Ashlyn earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Carolina University. She is currently licensed in both mental health and addictions counseling and enjoys exploring how these areas intersect in treatment. Her background includes experience in inpatient behavioral health as well as outpatient medication-assisted treatment (MAT). Ashlyn uses a variety of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, to help clients achieve their therapeutic goals. She works primarily with adults (18+) addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, and grief/loss. In her free time, Ashlyn enjoys spending time with her family and her pup, Chance. She also loves traveling, trying new restaurants, and journaling.
