Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I'm Ashton Moore. As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am dedicated to helping you navigate life's challenges and transitions. I hold a B.S. in Human Development & Family Studies from Texas Tech University and an M.Ed. in Counseling and Development from Lamar University. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with teens, young adults, adults, and couples in various settings, supporting them through chronic stress and traumatic experiences. My primary therapeutic approach is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, an evidence-based treatment that helps release the stored feelings, thoughts, sensations, and somatic processes associated with stressful and traumatic incidents. In addition to EMDR, I integrate elements of Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Gottman Method Therapy to address both internal and external conflicts and improve communication. I believe in providing a safe, judgment-free space where you can explore difficult, distressing, and disturbing content. My goal is to help you highlight your strengths, resources, and resiliency so that you leave our sessions feeling confident and restored. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, PTSD, OCD, or navigating life transitions and relationship issues, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Outside of my professional life, I value authenticity and connection, and I strive to bring these values into my therapeutic practice. I understand that seeking therapy can be a big step, and I'm committed to making this journey as comfortable and beneficial as possible for you. If you're ready to take the next step towards healing and growth, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to create a path forward that feels right for you.
