Sometimes folks feel stuck and overwhelmed because of their life circumstances, upbringing, or traumatic experiences. As a result, finding ways to navigate life's challenges can be difficult and lonely, but it doesn't have to be. Whether your child is struggling to manage their emotions, or your teenager is finding it difficult to navigate life while figuring out who they are, or even you as an adult finding ways to move past traumatic experiences, I am here for all of it. I earned my master's degree in social work from California State University, Fullerton. My approach is to honor the life story you bring into the room and attune to the cultural nuances that impact you to be the person you are today. While I offer each person I work with an individualistic approach, I am certified in EMDR therapy to support children, teens, and adults process traumatic experiences in order to make steps towards healing. In my practice, I also use different methods including DBT, play therapy, psychodynamic and somatic based therapy based on each individual client I believe we all have immense resiliency, even in our darkest moments. Healing is an adventure in itself, and as a therapist walking alongside you on your healing journey, I am here to listen, support, and challenge you to build a life that fulfills you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I am here to walk alongside you on your healing journey. It's important that my clients are able to see the authentic human being that I am rather than a blank slate. We will laugh, cry and process together all while getting the tough work done. I have experience working in school settings, Wraparound, nonprofit community mental health agencies and private practice. During these experiences I have a lot of experience with support those struggling with suicidal ideation and self harm urges. I also have experience working with children, teens, young adults and adults who struggle with posttraumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, adoption issues, and cultural/racial trauma. I enjoy working with the BIWOC community. I am EMDR certified and is an EMDRIA Consultant-In-Training.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Once you decide that you want to work with me, we'll start with an intake process to learn more about why you or your child is seeking therapy at this time. We'll work together to create an individualized plan of how to achieve the goals that you want.
