Psychotherapist
4501 N 22nd St, Ste 220, Phoenix, AZ
Hi, I'm Aspen, therapist and owner at Bliss Therapy Co. I'm happy you're here! I help clients who want to reduce anxiety, improve self-esteem, and feel better in their bodies, their relationships, and/or their sexuality. As a therapist, I believe we all have intuition and values that can guide us, but we often struggle to trust ourselves, because we have been impacted by external pressures, social norms, low self-esteem, and trauma. When we’re not living authentically through our values or struggling under the pressure of people-pleasing, our self-confidence and mental health suffer. Therapy is where we get to work together to figure out how you can live more authentically and confidently.

Getting to know Aspen Turney

Hi, I'm Aspen, therapist and owner at Bliss Therapy Co. I'm happy you're here! What should a new client know about working with you?

I’ve been on your side of the couch as a therapy client — I know it can be intimidating and uncomfortable, but I also know how much therapy can support you in growing, building confidence, and learning more about your authentic self. In the therapy room, I show my full personality and want you to feel comfortable doing the same! I use curiosity, openness, humor, and compassionate confrontation to connect with and challenge my clients. No topic is off limits in my office — it’s a shame-free zone.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to make therapy comfortable, casual, inclusive, and collaborative. We will work together to clarify your therapy goals and create a game plan that helps you pursue them -- and it's okay if you don't have all this figured out when you start therapy! More specifically, in your first session, we will get to know each other and talk through what's impacting your life that you want to see improve or change. From there, I'll lay out options that I have in my skillset to support you, and we can decide together where we want to start in our treatment direction. As you continue in therapy, we will check in to make sure it's helping you reach your goals, and we'll change directions as needed if your goals change or you're ready for something different/new. My office is created to be a comfortable place where you can show up as your true self with amenities that help you feel at ease, including snacks, drinks, blankets, fidget toys, and coloring materials. I also offer virtual therapy if you want to improve your mental health from the comfort of your own home!
