Getting to know Athena Vuylsteke

I have worked as a counselor since 2011. In that time, I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults. It is very important to me to provide individual, trauma-informed care to every person I see. I have experience working with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, PTSD, attachment trauma, and substance abuse, among other issues. Every person I work with is important to me, and my goal is to always honor what each person needs. I believe in collaborative care in which each person works toward their own individual goals. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time outside with my dogs. I believe that self-care is important for everyone and practice that in my own life. I enjoy helping others learn how to support their own self-care in order to have a life they enjoy.
