What should a new client know about working with you?

I aim to empower clients with a warm presence of strength and attentiveness in the therapy room. I believe our experiences are precious and complex, and I value each client’s spirituality alongside employing evidence-based practices to address their needs. I encourage clients to utilize spiritual resources, such as connecting with nature, incorporating art into therapy, practicing mindful meditation, and fostering positive relationships as tools for healing. By building a therapeutic relationship founded on safety, honesty, and respect, my background in crisis intervention and trauma-informed therapy has shaped me into an empathetic listener, adaptable to meeting clients where they are and supporting growth at their own pace.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Engaging in therapy is a personal and vulnerable experience, and it's essential that each client feels comfortable sharing their deepest joys and challenges. To facilitate this, I offer a complimentary initial 10-minute consultation to get to know you, discuss your needs, identify goals, and answer any questions you may have about treatment. If you decide to continue therapy, we will collaboratively create treatment goals, schedule regular sessions that suit your availability, identify target concerns, explore solutions and necessary resources, and practice skills for emotional resilience, mindfulness, and healthy communication patterns. After every few sessions, we will review treatment plans together and celebrate progress. As a professional who values a team-based approach, I encourage clients to take ownership of their treatment and develop goals that best fit their needs. I look forward to walking beside you on your mental health journey.
