You are taking an important step towards creating positive change in your life. I would love to be part of your journey! Concerns I can help with include depression, anxiety, emotion regulation, relationships, career and life changes, mild substance use, and certain cases of trauma. I am a person-centered therapist, which means that I value having a positive relationship with my clients. I continuously strive to show you acceptance and respect while keeping your goals and interests at the heart of your growth. I also draw from existential therapy, which means that I believe meaning and purpose are important components of change. Perhaps at the core of my approach, I believe that all people have both the innate ability and freedom of choice to create positive change in their lives. My work with you will focus on identifying what changes you want in your life or in yourself and working towards those changes through both increased self-awareness and self-acceptance as well as practical skills and action steps. Throughout my years of counseling practice, I have accrued a diverse range of experience including private practice, residential care for both mental health and substance use, and psychiatric and medical hospitals. I draw from my full range of experience to find the best way to uniquely help every individual. Outside of the office, my hobbies include music, chess, sports, and spending time with friends and family. Thank you for taking the time to read this! I look forward to seeing the positive changes you create!
