Psychotherapist
WI
I am a therapist who believes that healing and growth happen through human connection and exchange. My approach is rooted in humanistic therapy, which means I see you as the expert of your own life. I am not in the business of telling people how to live their lives, but rather a supportive presence as you figure out what's best for you! If you're ready to explore that road map or even just ready to start thinking about it, I'm here to support you. Finding a therapist you connect with is much like finding a partner; you may not feel that connection out of the gate, and in that case, please shop around! It's my priority that my clients feel good about our relationship, and an important factor in therapy being helpful. I look forward to a consultation with you. My approach I’m laid back, down-to-earth, and here to offer real conversation, not clinical jargon. Whether you're navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationships, or just feeling stuck, I create a space where we can slow down, get curious, and figure things out together! My focus My ideal client is someone willing and ready to do the work. My role in our sessions is to hold a mirror front and center to reflect where I am hearing discrepancies and challenge you to see and hear it yourself. I can point it out, but you're the one to decide what to do about it. I work best with clients willing to take that accountability. My communication style I encourage people to show up to our sessions as they are in the real world! If that means dropping some curse words, so be it! I want you to feel you're able to be yourself and show up as genuinely as possible while we build rapport and trust. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist was an unexpected one. I am a former traveling ESL teacher with many different experiences abroad in various countries and cultures.
