Aya Hackett, LCSW

Aya Hackett, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
I am passionate about working with individuals to overcome obstacles, life experiences, and transitions that may affect their self-growth. I bring a combination of transparency and gentleness to my work. My approach is optimistic, realistic, insightful, pleasant, empathetic, and non-judgmental. I am here to both support and challenge you while providing a comfortable and safe space for healing and self-discovery. I received my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California. I found my passion in promoting the importance of mental health and breaking the stigma surrounding it within the community. Over the years, my clinical experience has grown to include working in community mental health providing psychotherapy and intensive services; serving as an inpatient psychiatric social worker offering crisis interventions and comprehensive care; facilitating groups focused on Problem Solving, Relapse Prevention, and Symptom Management; and providing School-Based Mental Health Services where I promote social and emotional wellness and advocate for at-risk youth. Incorporating Expressive Arts into treatment is a passion of mine because I enjoy finding ways to combine wellness and healing through the arts. Ultimately, I believe that understanding each individual’s needs and meeting them where they are in their process can make this a meaningful and positive experience.
