I worked as a crisis counselor for 4 years in the emergency department at Edwards Hospital in Naperville. I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings, providing individual, group, and family therapy to clients with acute mental illnesses and substance dependence. My experience includes treating depression, anxiety, ADHD, childhood trauma, religious/cultural trauma, chronic stress, adjustment disorders, mood disorders, substance abuse and other life transition problems. I combine different treatment approaches to develop an effective treatment plan for my clients which is uniquely tailored to their needs. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) , and Person Centered Approaches. My role as your therapist is to assist you with your challenges, mental health needs and to assist you in reaching your full potential/desired goals.
