Hi there! My name is Ayesha Thomas, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia. I hold a Master's in Social Work and a Master's in Education in Counseling from Albany State University, as well as a Bachelor's degree from LaGrange College. The name of my practice is Purpose Driven Counseling, LLC. I have over four years of experience counseling individuals from various backgrounds in diverse settings, including homes, religious environments, community spaces, and academic institutions. I have worked extensively with clients in crisis and those diagnosed with Depression, Bipolar Disorder, and other mental health challenges. My nonjudgmental and accepting personality lays the foundation for an effective therapeutic relationship. Working with me means overcoming and powering through life's challenges by discovering healthier coping mechanisms and thought processes. Additional experience includes stress, anxiety, addictions, trauma and abuse, grief, intimacy-related issues, anger management, career difficulties, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, coaching, ADHD, abandonment, and attachment issues. My clinical approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing. Online counseling is fairly new to me, but I've found it to be very effective for various issues. My counseling style is laid back, and I have been described as supportive, encouraging, caring, and compassionate, with a good sense of humor. I focus on identifying your strengths and helping you maximize them to overcome obstacles. I'm here to assist you in sorting through the things that are most difficult for you, providing a safe place to be open and honest without fear of judgment. More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

“If you need someone to just talk to, you need to tell them up front because there is a lot of YouTube videos that will put you to sleep that you will be made to watch and there is a lot of homework. I’m already stressed out about my life I don’t need homework and YouTube. I could Google that for free. I just needed someone to talk to and hear me.”
