What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process is flexible and entirely focused on meeting clients where they are, but our journey together generally includes the following phases: Building Trust and Connection: The first few sessions are all about creating a safe harbor. We will spend time getting to know each other, discussing interests, and ensuring the client feels comfortable and secure in the therapeutic space. Collaborative Goal Setting: Once we have built a foundation of trust, we work together—often involving parents or caregivers when appropriate—to identify specific goals. We will discuss what healing looks like for you and what you hope to get out of our time together. Developing Insight and Skills: Using trauma-informed interventions, we will explore underlying challenges and begin building a personalized "toolkit." This involves learning practical coping skills, practicing emotional regulation techniques, and developing deeper self-awareness to navigate anxiety or life transitions. Fostering Resilience: As we progress, we will continuously review our goals and adapt our approach as needed. The ultimate goal is to empower the client, reinforcing their natural resilience so they feel confident and equipped to handle future challenges long after our work together concludes.
