ME
Hi, and thank you for taking a look at my profile. I am so fortunate to work as a mental health professional. I love to listen to people's "stories" and work together to address life's challenges and changes. My approach I remember on my first day of my first social work class being told to "meet the client where they are" and that is at the foundation of my practice. I will work with empathy and compassion to share my various tools and techniques to help you address issues and help you grow and gain awareness. I will strive to support you in any way I can. My focus I have spent 18 years working with Veterans and the military culture. There is a special place in my heart for our nation's heroes. If you are dealing with PTSD, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, substance abuse... I would like to listen and to help. My communication style When working with me, my goal is to provide you with a safe, non-judgmental space where you can share and reflect on your experiences. I use cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and person-centered therapy. My journey to mental healthcare I have always been fascinated by the human mind, what makes us all so different. At the same time, and more importantly, I am compelled by what makes us alike, the fundamental qualities, hopes, and dreams that we all share. I chose to enter this field later in life, and I feel like I have a wealth of wisdom that comes from experience.
