Hi, I’m Barb! I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rivier College and a Master’s in Social Work from Boston University School of Social Work. I have been working in the mental health field for over 25 years. Since graduating from BUSSW in 2000, I have worked in community mental health centers, schools, hospitals, small group practices and in private practice. I have provided counseling to those struggling with depression, anxiety, loss, perinatal mood disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder and life transitions. I have received training in the treatment of PMDDs as well as Exposure and Response Prevention for the treatment of OCD. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Exposure and Response Therapy. Along with years of training and experience I have a strong belief in the therapeutic process and the power of telling your story. I feel it is an honor and a privilege to sit with people and to offer support, compassion and a non-judgmental presence as they navigate challenges, obstacles and life changes. Each person is different, and their experience is unique. I offer a personalized approach to best suit each individual I meet with and work collaboratively with each person in order to meet their goals. I enjoy humor and frequently incorporate it into my practice.
