Hello, I'm Barbara. Originally from France, I have been living in Colorado for the last 12 years. My journey into the mental health field began with working for a crisis hotline, where I have been attending to individuals in dire emotional need for the past 15 years. During my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I developed a deep passion for psychoanalysis and decided to adopt this modality as my sole clinical orientation. Since then, I have been dedicated to working with adults, children, and families in various settings, including residential facilities, outpatient clinics, and private practice. In my private practice, I provide individual and family therapy sessions, specializing in common disorders of daily living such as depression, anxiety, trauma, behavioral, and academic difficulties. Additionally, I have a particular focus on infant mental health, prenatal, and perinatal issues. I believe in the power of psychoanalysis to uncover the underlying causes of distress and help clients achieve lasting change. Beyond my clinical work, I have had the honor of presenting papers at international conferences on topics related to psychoanalysis and its clinical practice. I am also a faculty member at the Clinical College of Colorado, where I teach the theoretical and practical applications of Freudian and Lacanian psychoanalysis.
