Psychotherapist
500 Waters Edge Ln, Ste 100, Lombard, IL
I am a therapist dedicated to creating a safe, supportive space where individuals can process their thoughts, validate their feelings, and develop meaningful strategies for navigating life’s challenges. I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University in 2024 and have been working in the behavioral health field for the past two years. My clinical experience includes working on an inpatient behavioral health unit within a hospital setting, where I supported individuals ages 18 through geriatric who were experiencing acute mental health concerns such as suicidal ideation, suicide attempts, depression, anxiety, and crisis situations. This experience has strengthened my ability to provide compassionate care, crisis stabilization, and supportive interventions for individuals during some of the most difficult moments in their lives. I have specialized training in identity and transition support, crisis management, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Positive Psychology. I also work with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, emotional relapse prevention, and person-centered therapy. I am currently enrolled in the David Kessler Grief Educator Certificate program, which I expect to complete in May 2026, as part of my commitment to supporting individuals navigating grief and loss.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My areas of focus include anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, crisis recovery, and working with the LGBTQ+ community. I strive to maintain a collaborative, client-centered approach with adults and young adults (18+), helping individuals build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and move toward a greater sense of well-being. I especially value supporting those who are navigating identity exploration, significant life changes, or the complex emotions that accompany grief. In therapy, I focus on building practical coping skills, increasing resilience, exploring past experiences when helpful, and setting goals for the future while staying grounded in the present moment. As a Certified Licensed Massage Therapist, I also bring awareness to the mind–body connection and help clients recognize how emotional experiences can manifest physically. My own life experiences, including overcoming breast cancer, have deepened my understanding of resilience, healing, and personal growth. These experiences shape my belief that even during difficult times, people can find strength, meaning, and hope.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

You will start with completing an initial phone consultation with one of Dayrise Wellness' care coordinators and from there, they will schedule the initial assessment. The phone consultation helps me get some background information before we dive into a full assessment to ensure we are a good therapeutic match. If we are not, our team will find an available therapist who does match your needs! All sessions are typically 60 minutes!
