Getting to know Batia Gold

My name is Batia Gold, and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor specializing in trauma, depression, and anxiety. My interest in trauma work stems from being a child of Holocaust Survivors. Growing up, I heard many stories from survivors and witnessed the incredible resiliency of the human spirit. I received my Master's in Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Wayne State University, Detroit, MI. I am also a Certified Addictions Counselor with both state and international certification. For many years, I have worked in community mental health treatment facilities. One of my greatest accomplishments is completing training as a Master-level Therapist in the practice of Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an innovative, evidence-based, and non-intrusive technique. I have used this groundbreaking therapy to help Combat Veterans and their significant others. In addition to offering Telehealth services, I am contracted by Magellan Federal to provide counseling for the Military and Family Life Counselor (MFLC) program, which supports active-duty Military Families through non-medical counseling. I also work closely with families at MacDill Air Force Base, Ramstein AFB in Germany, and Lakenheath AFB in the United Kingdom. Along with ART, I use other therapeutic modalities to address issues of depression, stress, and self-worth. I work with adults and teens who struggle with both past trauma(s) and the challenges of everyday life. Most importantly, my approach with clients is to form a partnership so that they do not feel alone in the journey.
