Getting to know Beatriz Norona

I’m a Licensed Mental Health Therapist, with close to 20 years of experience working in the field of mental health. The majority of my work has been in the area of trauma, mood disorders, family therapy, and working with adolescents. I feel comfortable working with Solution-Focused, Client-Centered, Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I have worked with various clients from geriatrics to children, and across many different settings. I've worked in an inpatient unit, community mental health centers, and with telehealth clients. I excel in working with clients facing mood disorders, grief, or trauma. During the first session, I like to have an idea of the client's goals for therapy. Then, together, we create short and long-term goals for a successful therapy journey. Clients can expect to communicate their goals for therapy and share 3 things they would like to work on first.
