Healing for Mind, Body, and Spirit You deserve to feel better. I'm here to help you navigate life's challenges with a blend of mind and body approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, life coaching, art expression, EMDR, and more. Before my career as a therapist I was an artist, writer, and teacher in both public school and at the university level. A life-long learner, I am currently completing a PhD in transpersonal psychology with a focus on somatics. As a neurodiverse person myself, I understand how challenging life can be. If you're looking for an ally on your journey to wellness, understanding your brain, healing your traumas, and charting your course for the future - I'd be happy to companion you. I'd be a great fit for you if you're looking to include cognitive and mind-body approaches to gain self-knowledge and a better operating system. I'm an extra good fit if you happen to be neurodiverse, artsy, or spiritually minded. I work with individuals, kids, couples, and families and have particular expertise with gifted kids and college students with family/ school challenges and creative and gifted adults with relationship/ career concerns.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to counseling is very holistic in nature. It has been my experience that people get better when working on mind, body, and spirit approaches simultaneously while also working actively to improve their life's conditions. I also have experience as a coach and advocate, and my approach is heavily solution-focused. Advanced studies in trauma-informed therapy inform my working style as well.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The typical process for working with me includes an introductory phone call , completion of some intake paperwork, and first appointment in person or online where we'll review your goals and concerns. The following sessions we'll work together developing a treatment plan that is both evidence- based and completely tailored to you. I am trained in many modalities and work across the life span. Generally with children I'll use a mix of play therapy, art therapy techniques, and skill development of executive function and emotional regulation. For adults, I'll use a mix of CBT and trauma informed and holistic therapies. For couples and families we address the therapeutic needs of the individual members as well as working on communication strategies. I look forward to serving you.
