I was deeply disappointed by my experience with this provider. I saw him multiple times over several months, and while there were brief moments of usefulness, the overall experience felt unprofessional and ineffective. Sessions largely consisted of repeatedly discussing the same trauma without receiving meaningful strategies, guidance, or therapeutic tools. When I expressed my pain, he often responded with prolonged silence. This did not feel like intentional therapeutic space, but rather a lack of engagement. When I asked whether he had any input, his response was simply, “I’m letting you speak,” despite several minutes of silence. There is a place for talk therapy, but this felt like talk therapy without direction, empathy, or structure. Without feedback or actionable support, I felt stuck revisiting the same issues rather than moving toward healing. If you are looking for a highly directive, trauma-informed therapist who provides concrete strategies and active engage.

My therapist never showed up. It was our initial intake session and I got no notice that the appointment had been canceled on his end. I called Rula customer service who reached out to Benjamin without getting a response. Overall a very disappointing customer experience .

Ben is a great therapist who is very easy to talk and feel safe with. He communicates in a way that makes you feel heard and validated, while being able to address issues with concrete strategies.
Before I came to path I went through several therapists and none of them felt like they wanted to listen to my issues much less help me. I was being instructed to do things and given homework. I was not feeling well and definitely not interest in doing things that I didn’t see helpful plus I had little to no consideration. My stress, anxiety and depression levels were incredibly high. I just wanted to sleep and not deal with anything. I’m thankful that I was referred to path and that I finally found my current therapist. I feel completely comfortable being honest without being judged. I feel heard and understood. I’m finally getting help and I’m feeling better. I thank God that I have someone who is assisting me with my mental health illness because mental health illness as real as other body part illnesses.
