I have lived a long and colorful life. Like most, I have made good and bad choices but gained wisdom. I have 22+ years of experience in the mental health and substance abuse treatment field. I hold a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fort Valley State University. While I am not judgmental, I have a blunt and gentle approach to counseling. My goal is to offer clients another perspective-a way to see life more fully and function better, no more, no less. I do not believe in pretending to have all the answers but in offering clients options for help and discovering new options together.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Although I describe my therapeutic approach as eclectic and open-minded, I use reality therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing approaches in therapy. However, I am flexible in using other theories to meet the needs of the client, dependent upon their presenting issues. For those who are feeling lost on life's journey and are willing to listen and learn, I am here to assist.
