Everyone deserves to have a trusted support or guide along life’s journey––counseling can be a place to find just that. Counseling can be like a cool drink of water in a desert oasis, helping you rejuvenate and find rest for your soul, while you’re working towards where you want to be. My approach I am clinically trained in dream analysis, attachment issues, recovery from trauma, cultural/spiritual issues, and couples therapy through the Gottman Institute of Seattle. My focus As humans, we instinctively want to thrive, but sometimes we find ourselves feeling stuck in life. This feeling can come from a variety of places: recent losses, grief, trauma, anxiety, feelings of loneliness, difficulty connecting with others, unhealthy relationships, or unhelpful and self-limiting beliefs... I help people overcome stuck points. My communication style Making changes can be difficult, but I believe insightful truths about ourselves and our relationships can set us free to live bolder and more satisfying lives. Sometimes just need some coping strategies for managing anxieties, but other times, they need a new perspective on life. I help people see their challenges with new clarity of vision. My journey to mental healthcare After serving in the military and returning home from war, I became interested in counseling as a way of healing spiritual/emotional wounds and relationships. Over the past decade, I have worked with youth in public school settings, with low-income families, and with military veterans who suffer from PTSD. My goals for you I look forward to supporting you through whatever hardships you may be facing in this season. Life can be a messy journey; so it's better to journey with a trusted guide or support, someone who will encourage your strengths and potential, empathize with setbacks, and cheer for your victories.
