My focus I work with men and women of all ages who are struggling with depression, anxiety, grief and loss, have a lack of coping skills, trauma, poor self-esteem, and many other issues. I ensure to show empathy for you in your current situation, and I work from a supportive approach. I want to make sure we work together to find what you need to feel your goals are achievable, and that you leave feeling empowered! My communication style I ensure to use active listening skills, as well as reflective listening skills, to show you that your issues and goals are my main focus of treatment. I stay calm during sessions, and I stay patient, to ensure you feel supported and heard. I keep a calm, neutral tone during the session, with times we may show excitement during the times progress is being made, to congratulate your efforts and ensure you feel empowered moving forward. My journey to mental healthcare I started my journey to becoming a therapist as a young child, as I had so much curiosity about why people acted the way they did.
