Accepting new telehealth clients! It is natural to sometimes experience negative emotions related to depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. Society often tells us we should feel good all the time and that negative emotions are bad. This can trap us in a loop of negative thinking that prevents us from seeing the good in our lives. By addressing these consuming thoughts, we can achieve a greater sense of contentment and overall well-being. You can break free from the constraints holding you back from reaching your goals. In addition to working with adults, I have extensive experience supporting children and parents. Children face a lot of stress today, and developing tools to manage this stress is an investment in their future mental health. I also work with parents to promote positive change at home and empower them to be their best. Whether you are a child experiencing anxiety or behavioral challenges, an overwhelmed parent, or an adult dealing with depression or anxiety, I look forward to working with you, listening to your life story, and supporting you in meeting your goals. I hold a Master's in Social Work from New York University. Please note: After scheduling an appointment on Zocdoc, you will receive an email to register with Headway. I am credentialed with insurance companies through this secure and HIPAA-compliant site. Thank you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

When working with adults and children I do not subscribe to a one size fits all approach. Some children like to talk through their issues while others like to be creative or play games to express their feelings. Some adults prefer a solutions-focused approach while others prefer to analyze their thoughts and feelings more deeply. I am here for whatever approach you need.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session for an adult might be exploring feelings related to pressing issues in their lives. reviewing progress on CBT, discussing solutions to issues they are experiencing or delving into the past to understand the present. For children, therapy is a combination of talking about their issues coupled with creative arts, games, CBT planning and review.
