Beth Valdez, LPC

Psychotherapist
AZ
Hi, my name is Beth G. Valdez, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Counseling from Northern Arizona University and over 20 years of experience working with adolescents, families, and adults in the mental health field. My approach to therapy is holistic, addressing both the body and the mind to improve mental health and help clients engage fully in life. I use an integrative theoretical approach, drawing on DBT, ACT, CBT, EFT, and other methods to find the strategies that work best for each client. I am also certified in EMDR, often integrating attachment-focused EMDR practices to support clients who have experienced complex trauma. I have extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, and couples facing challenges related to depression, anxiety, ADHD, and relationship issues. My communication style is laid back but direct when needed. I view therapy as a partnership-sometimes teamwork, mostly a cooperative, guided journey for clients seeking to improve coping skills, reduce negative thoughts and feelings, or fully embrace the human experience. For over two decades, I have worked in schools and mental health settings, helping students, families, and adults navigate the inevitable bumps we all encounter. It is an honor to hear their stories and work alongside them as they achieve their mental health goals. As a mother, competitive coach, and wife, I have always cherished the role of helping and caring for others. My goal is to collaborate with you to set achievable goals that support your growth and well-being.
