Getting to know Bianca Asteris

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 10 years of experience in the field. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Texas State University in 2005 and earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Houston’s Graduate College of Social Work in 2009 (Go Coogs!). Over the past decade, I have had the opportunity to work in various settings with individuals and families facing a wide range of personal challenges, including depression, anxiety, stress, family problems, trauma, abuse, addiction, chronic health concerns, relationships, parenting, and more. These experiences have shown me that increased self-awareness can significantly impact one’s ability to grow through difficulties. One of the most important factors in this process is feeling comfortable and supported in a connected environment. I believe in being open-minded and non-judgmental when someone shares their personal story or experiences with me. Through my own life experiences, I have recognized the benefits of therapy and the growth that is possible with supportive care that encourages active participation. I strive to be supportive while maintaining an approach that is direct and honest, delivered with kindness. I look forward to hearing from you and being part of your journey to process, heal, discover, understand, or challenge and change.
