If you're feeling stuck in patterns that no longer serve you, overwhelmed by past experiences, or disconnected from yourself, therapy can help you find relief, healing, and a stronger sense of self. I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT). I work with young adults and adults navigating trauma, self-esteem struggles, relationship challenges, anxiety, burnout, and life transitions. I’m LGBTQIA+ affirming, and am passionate about helping clients heal from trauma and strengthen self-worth. Trauma can show up in ways you may not expect, like feeling overwhelmed, disconnected from yourself, people-pleasing, perfectionism, or patterns that keep repeating despite your best efforts to change them. Therapy can help you make sense of what you’re carrying, move toward lasting change, and reconnect with your authentic self.

Getting to know Bianca Filion

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in trauma therapy and use EMDR, expressive arts, mind-body approaches, and talk therapy to support healing. My approach is collaborative, affirming, and nonjudgmental. While I may incorporate movement, mindfulness, or creative interventions when appropriate, movement and art are always optional. Together, we'll explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build on your strengths, and work toward meaningful, lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first few sessions, I focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and learning about your goals, strengths, and life experiences. Together, we’ll identify patterns, challenges, and areas where you would like to see change, and we’ll develop a treatment approach tailored to your needs. Depending on your goals, this may include EMDR, talk therapy, expressive arts, or mind-body techniques. Sessions often involve exploring current concerns, processing past experiences when appropriate, building coping skills, and developing greater self-awareness.
