Getting to know Bianca McConnell-Hoff

I am a bilingual licensed professional counselor. I have a Master of Arts in Counseling with an emphasis in Trauma, Abuse, and Deprivation from Ottawa University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University. I have worked with children, the LGBTQIA+ community, individuals living with HIV, human trafficking survivors, and the neurodivergent community. I use an integrative approach of CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), LGBTQ-affirmative CBT, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), art therapy, play therapy, music therapy, and mindfulness. I have worked hard to make behavioral health more accessible to clients of all ages. My clients bring me so much joy when they share that this is their safe place. Knowing that I can help bridge a gap for different communities that have been marginalized and afraid to seek services encourages me to continue my work. I have a wonderful husband and an energetic son. I love horror movies, eating potstickers/dumplings, and going to concerts.
