Hello, I am Dr. Rudge. Welcome to The Listening Room, a counseling practice focused on listening to your needs with a skilled and trained therapist licensed by the Department of Health. I hold a Doctor of Social Work degree from Barry University. My practice is dedicated to creating a safe space for men and fathers to share their deepest concerns without judgment or the pressures of society. I empower men and fathers to overcome the anxieties of fatherhood and the societal status quo of being accepted as a man. Early in my career, I realized that men and fathers often suffer in silence because of the roles they play at home, at work, and as parents, leaving them out of many conversations about mental health. I understand this is a problem that needs to be addressed, and my practice is committed to creating a trauma-informed setting where men and fathers can discuss their mental health needs while receiving support. Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
