Getting to know Bianca Taylor

I am a relational and trauma-informed therapist who believes healing begins when you feel genuinely seen, heard, and supported. I work with individuals navigating trauma, anxiety, relationship challenges, grief, negative self-beliefs, and major life transitions. My approach combines compassion, cultural awareness, authenticity, and appropriate challenge. Drawing from EMDR, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, DBT, and other evidence-based approaches, I tailor each session to your unique experiences and goals. Together, we will explore the patterns keeping you stuck, strengthen your existing skills, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You can expect me to be warm, engaged, and honest. I will meet you where you are while also gently challenging the thoughts, beliefs, and patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Our sessions will be collaborative and tailored to your needs, some days may involve deeper reflection and trauma processing, while others may focus on practical tools, problem-solving, or simply creating space for you to be heard. You do not need to arrive with all the right words or know exactly where to begin. We will take the process at a pace that feels safe while working toward meaningful and lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first few sessions will focus on getting to know you, understanding what brings you to therapy, and identifying the experiences, relationships, and patterns affecting your well-being. Together, we will develop goals that feel meaningful and realistic for you. A typical session begins with a check-in about how you have been feeling and what feels most important to discuss that day. Depending on your needs, we may explore past experiences, process emotions, identify recurring patterns, practice coping skills, or use a structured approach such as EMDR. I may also offer reflections or questions that gently challenge you to consider a different perspective. Part of our work may involve learning to give yourself grace and becoming more comfortable sitting with complicated thoughts and emotions instead of avoiding or rushing through them. At times, I may intentionally slow the pace of a session so you have space to notice, understand, and process what is coming up. This may feel difficult or uncomfortable, but you will not have to navigate it alone, I will be there with you throughout the process. We will regularly review your progress and adjust our approach as your needs and goals evolve.
