Getting to know Bill Massey

My name is Bill Massey, and I am a licensed clinical social worker practicing in Georgia and Alabama. I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Master's in Social Work in 1993 and became an LCSW in 1996. I have worked in home health and hospice for most of my career, with a strong emphasis on geriatrics and dementia care. I also have experience in inpatient psychiatric settings and residential services. I am looking to fill a niche that I have seen needing attention for some time. For many years, I have seen elders and their families in their homes but had to refer out any counseling beyond crisis intervention to outpatient therapists. The problem is that I have been referring homebound people for outpatient therapy, which is not effective for many reasons. With the help of Grow Therapy, I intend to offer my counseling and case management services to people in the comfort of their own homes. I will become a mobile mental health provider to serve a population that has gone largely underserved for far too long.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
