Getting to know Boisey Bristo

My name is Boisey Bristo, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, and Certified Brain Injury Specialist based in Ft. Worth, Texas, delivering services statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Walden University. I work with adolescents and adults specializing in anxiety disorders, mood disorders, stress and adjustment challenges, trauma, culture and diversity, and brain injury. My counseling philosophy is that “every journey begins with the first step.” Most of my clients present with anxiety and depression. However, I have also worked with eating disorders, personality disorders, autism, substance abuse/addiction, and psychotic disorders. My focus is on helping the client achieve wellness through the process of acceptance and change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The initial session will primarily focus on developing the therapeutic alliance and establishing a foundation for the counseling process. Every client has a unique background and what works for one, may not work for the other, so the first session is about identifying what may work for you. My communication style is easygoing, authentic, and empowering. I aim to create a safe and trusting therapeutic alliance with the client through compassion, empathy, active listening, and a non-judgmental approach.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
