Getting to know Bonnie Ayotte

Hello and welcome! My name is Bonnie St George-Ayotte, Licensed Mental Health Counselor #60996772 in Washington. I specialize in trauma-informed, person-centered care for those struggling with anxiety, depression, performance impairments, and PTSD. My approach With a foundation in neurobiology, self-concept, and resilience, clients experience approaches from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which builds mindfulness into CBT, Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), promoting resiliency in relationships, Narrative Therapy, and expressive therapies celebrating neurodivergent individuals. I believe clients are the experts in their own lives. My focus Clients seek support for mental health challenges including Anxiety, PTSD, Trauma, Depression, OCD, Grief and Loss, and low Self-Esteem. Personalized strategies assist adolescents and adults in achieving mental well-being, increased confidence, and tools to improve their responses to the world. My communication style Clients come from diverse backgrounds and strengths. I love hearing people's stories and have a geeky sense of humor. Clients often say they feel welcome and relaxed quickly. They find an ally who believes in them, defends them, and isn’t afraid to be honest and call out patterns that hinder progress. I am a real person, who has been there and can speak from both struggle and success. However, I prefer success! My journey to mental healthcare I was drawn to counseling when I couldn’t find relief from my own overwhelming anxiety. Learning the neurology behind my struggle and finding relief sparked my desire to help others find wholeness. I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Counseling from Liberty University, equipping me to support individuals and families on their healing journeys.
