“Bonnie communicates in a more direct and understandable way for me as a neurodivergent person than any other therapist I have had (a dozen or so) Clearly experienced and knowledgeable in cross-disciplinary and specific areas. If you haven’t already, look her up, check out her LinkedIn, etc to see some of her areas of specialty as well as current involvements. I can definitely say not all providers have the drive to stay involved and learn new things. I came in looking for a consult and am happy to exit my appointment as a new client.”

Getting to know Bonnie Landau Weed

Counseling is more than sharing feelings; it is a collaborative exploration and solution-finding process that empowers you to manage life's stressors. My counseling style is warm, empathetic, honest, and direct. You can expect goal-oriented sessions with plenty of space to process emotions. Together, we will work to facilitate positive change in your life and relationships. I use a holistic approach, recognizing that people learn and grow in different ways. We begin with Solution Focused Counseling to help you get your bearings with current stressors, then move toward healing areas that feel out of balance. My therapeutic specialties are deeply informed by my personal experiences and the challenges I faced when seeking support. Working with a therapist who truly understands your perspective offers a powerful resource for creative solutions. I use a strength-based approach in all my work, building on what is working well and addressing areas where you want to see improvement. I work with clients ranging from early adolescence through late adulthood, with a special emphasis on neurodiverse adolescents, their parents, individuals with social anxiety, and those navigating life transitions. I have been a special education advocate and have extensive experience supporting parents through the special education process. I hold a Master's in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica, a Master's in Educational Counseling from the University of La Verne, and a Bachelor's degree from California Polytechnic State University.
