Getting to know Bonnie Runions

I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2011 with a Master's Degree in Social Work. I am currently a Licensed Independent Social Worker and a Licensed Independent Chemical Addiction Counselor. I have worked in a variety of public and private treatment facilities offering both mental health and addiction therapy. I use a combination of therapeutic approaches, including Client Centered, Solution Focused, Trauma-Based, and Cognitive Behavioral therapy, as well as others when indicated. My guiding philosophy has always been to "meet you where you are," meaning I base our therapeutic goals and approaches on individual needs and preferences. I strongly believe everyone experiences events and situations in their own unique way and therefore should be treated with unique approaches designed to achieve their desired goals, not those of the therapist. I have helped individuals process and overcome struggles related to depression, anxiety, substance use, domestic violence, and trauma.
