Getting to know Brandi Bentrim

I am an LCSW with over 25 years of experience working with children and adults. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Chicago. Most of my work has focused on providing individual and family therapy to young adults, as well as children and adult survivors of trauma. I would describe my style as warm, supportive, genuine, and direct. I recognize that securing your trust is key in developing a productive therapeutic working relationship. I believe our experiences shape the way we see the world, which can lead to patterns that are no longer serving us. Our thoughts impact the way we feel, and insight into these connections can move us toward change and healing. I understand that deciding to engage in therapy can be difficult. I will provide you with a safe space for us to work toward the goals you have set for yourself and make the changes you want to see in your life. Specialty Areas: Depression, Anxiety, OCD, Relationship Issues, Family Conflicts, Trauma & Abuse, Self-Esteem, Coping With Life Changes, Adolescence, Attachment Issues, PANDAS

What should a new client know about working with you?

You will come away from your first session with clear goals and understand how we will measure progress towards the goals you have identified. I will create a safe and supportive space to explore your history so that you can gain better insight and understanding into your current functioning. You will learn how to identify and adjust maladaptive patterns that are not serving you in the “here and now” as well as develop effective coping skills so you can live the life you want while maintaining a healthy relationship with yourself as well as those you care about.

In-network insurances

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
