Psychotherapist
CA
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I am committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care that empowers individuals to create meaningful and lasting change. With over eight years of experience in behavioral health, including extensive work in substance use treatment, community mental health, and crisis intervention, I have had the privilege of supporting clients through some of life's most challenging moments. My clinical approach is rooted in collaboration, authenticity, and respect. I believe effective therapy goes beyond symptom management by helping clients understand the underlying factors contributing to their struggles while building practical skills for long-term success. I specialize in working with adults experiencing substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, and low self-esteem. My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to achieve lasting recovery, improved emotional well-being, and a more fulfilling life. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and self-esteem. Using a collaborative, client-centered approach with CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy, I provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you can build coping skills, gain insight, and create lasting change. Taking the first step can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. Everyone deserves a space to feel heard, supported, and understood. If you’re ready to begin your healing journey, I’d be honored to walk alongside you every step of the way.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My therapy style is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel comfortable being yourself and discussing even the most difficult topics. I believe meaningful change happens when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment, so we'll work together to create goals that align with your values and needs. I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Strength-Based Therapy. My approach is practical and individualized, helping you understand the underlying factors contributing to your challenges while developing healthier coping skills and strategies you can use in everyday life. Whether you're seeking support for substance use, anxiety, depression, or another concern, my goal is to help you leave each session with greater insight, confidence, and tools to support lasting change.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We'll discuss what brought you to therapy, your personal history, current concerns, and the goals you hope to achieve. I'll take the time to understand your unique experiences and answer any questions you have about the therapy process. As we continue working together, sessions are tailored to your individual needs and goals. We'll explore patterns that may be contributing to your challenges, develop healthier coping strategies, and practice practical skills you can apply outside of therapy. I encourage open, honest conversations and believe therapy works best when it's a collaborative process. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling supported, understood, and equipped with tools that help you make meaningful progress between appointments.
