Getting to know Breanna Lucas

Hello! My name is Breanna, and I am a Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Clinical Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington. As a therapist, it is a privilege to listen to your story and accompany you through the season of life that you are in, and I am honored to assist you on your therapeutic journey. My intention is to provide you with a safe space where you can be open and understood. Life can be unpredictable, and the idea of therapy can be intimidating. These challenges can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face them alone. I have a great deal of expertise working with adults, couples, children, teenagers, and families from my extended work in partial hospitalization care before moving into private practice. I am knowledgeable in several therapeutic approaches, such as mindfulness, person-centered therapy, strengths-based approach, and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Since therapy is a very personal experience, we can always adjust our methods to fit your individual needs! I provide a supportive, non-judgmental space where you or a loved one can explore, work through problems, and acquire the skills necessary to achieve your treatment goals. I look forward to meeting you!

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach to therapy is collaborative and supportive. I believe that each individual’s experience is unique, so I work to create a personalized plan that fits where you are and what you need. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief, I provide a space where you can express yourself freely without judgment. We’ll focus on identifying your strengths and building on them to help you navigate life’s difficulties. Therapy with me isn’t about quick fixes—it's about meaningful progress that empowers you to heal and thrive in the long run.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with getting to know you—your story, your struggles, and what brings you to therapy. During our first session, we’ll explore your concerns and identify the challenges you’re facing, whether it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, or grief. From there, we’ll develop a personalized plan that fits your goals and comfort level. I focus on creating a space where you feel safe to express yourself, and together we’ll work on practical strategies to help you manage your emotions, cope with stress, and move forward at your own pace.
