Breanna Marcelin, LPC

Psychotherapist
1811 W North Ave, Ste 402, Chicago, IL
I specialize in providing support to young adults, adults, and adolescents who are struggling with life transitions, relationship stressors, and identity struggles. I have experience in helping clients process through mood and anxiety disorders and related substance use, trauma, career and academic stress, and relationship concerns. With a background in providing support to communities of color and other marginalized communities, I understand the impact that different aspects of social identity and intersectionality can have on these concerns. My passion is fueled by the desire to reduce stigma around mental health treatment and provide representation for the positive benefits and impact therapy can have on one’s wellbeing. I believe that through the therapeutic alliance clients are able to experience opportunities of personal growth and understanding, which to me is the most fulfilling work. Together, we will work to establish an alliance in which we can explore patterns of behavior, thoughts, and feelings you experience with curiosity and compassion. I strongly believe that you, as the client, are already resilient and capable of achieving your treatment goals, and through therapy I strive to make you feel empowered and encouraged to do so.
