Getting to know Bree Shell

I'm honored to walk alongside you in your this season of your life. I'm licensed in several states and provide services both online and in person. My practice specializes in working with adult females. Some seasons of life can leave us feeling alone, anxious, and directionless. You might be feeling battered by life’s storms or you might be struggling to feel a sense of joy and freedom. It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. Don’t lose heart; moving through pain to a place of healing isn’t easy, but you don’t have to do this alone. I'm a Missouri native currently residing in Kentucky and am licensed to practice in Missouri, Kentucky, and Indiana. I have a Master’s Degree in professional counseling with an emphasis in family systems, and I have several years of experience working with individuals of various ages and cultural and religious backgrounds across the United States. I grew up in a military family and understand the unique experience of being a military dependent as well as living with frequent life changes. I'm also a mom and know the challenges of raising children to adulthood, and I'm familiar with grief, life losses and caregiver stress, in addition to managing medical conditions and special needs. I use a holistic approach that focuses on both the uniqueness of individuals and a human need for belonging and connection. This approach emphasizes collaboration, encouragement, self-awareness, and insight. I also use Cognitive-Behavioral interventions, which facilitate awareness of the connection between our emotions, thought patterns, and behaviors. My primary areas of focus are issues specific to women, navigating life transitions, chronic medical conditions, anxiety, phobias, grief, life losses, special needs parenting, spiritual life, and caregiver support.
