I work with adults, adolescents, families, and couples using a blend of modalities to identify and achieve goals you set. My focus I have extensive experience treating anxiety disorders, mood disorders (such as depression and bipolar), trauma, low-support needs autism, gender dysphoria, perinatal mood disorders, and ADHD. I specialize in LGBTQ+ populations, adolescent demographics, parenting challenges, and life transitions. I am also a professor at two universities. My approach I provide an objective space for you to process emotional challenges or obstacles, where you can work through these complicated matters without judgment to find the best outcome for YOU. I am well-versed in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and integrate components of other modalities such as psychodynamic, attachment, and Gottman theories. My communication style I tend to have a more direct style of communication, and I speak honestly with clients in supportive ways. I believe that you are the authority on you, and while I may have input, you know yourself better than anyone. I take your feedback, offer insight, and prefer to operate as equals. My journey to mental healthcare I became a provider after traveling through my own challenges with trauma, grief, and anxiety. I struggled in very human ways, and therapy offered me a place where I wasn't criticized or shamed. It became a safe space where I could make sense of what was happening. I wanted to offer others this same sanctuary and space. My goals for you Each person comes to treatment with their own story, unique experiences, personal challenges, and specific needs.
